Job Description
The Associate Research Scientist will report directly to a Senior Research Scientist and handle all areas of solid-state research applied to API and early formulation development. This includes crystal form screening, single crystal growth, early formulation development, and all aspects of physicochemical characterization. The candidate will develop experimental designs and must actively communicate across multiple functional areas. The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
Possess B.Sc. or M. Sc. degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or related field
Must have hands-on laboratory experience with a research project and report writing during undergraduate studies, internship, or Master of Science studies; or minimum 1-year industrial lab experience is required
Demonstrate fundamental understanding of the scientific principles governing the above-mentioned research project or industrial lab work
Fundamental general chemistry and physical organic chemistry knowledge (the knowledge will be tested during the interview)
A background in topics including thermodynamics, polymorphism, crystallization, API, and formulation process development is preferred
Hands-on HPLC experience is a plus
Display excellent lab skills with ability to quickly learn instrumentation
Display a high-level of innovation and practical ingenuity
Always diligent in scientific rigor displaying a high-level of integrity

Job Description
The BD Director Position or Senior BD Director is responsible for leading the business development activities to find and cultivate client business opportunities that result in increasing revenue and market share of Crystal Pharmatech, and effectively managing the teams associated with securing new business in the small to midsize biotech and Pharma. The BD Director will report directly to the Head of US Business Development.
This BD director position will be primarily based in the US and it can be a work from home position with significant travel required. Preferred locations are: Boston, San Diego, San Francisco.
Roles and Responsibilities
Serve as Business Development Representative in the USA for Global Business Development Team and perform all associated duties as resourcing requires; Interact with clients as needed to explain Company’s operational strategy and related budgeting approaches; and conduct pricing negotiations
Manages and mentors the BD team to maintain the highest level of professionalism and responsiveness during the entire process; Provides leadership and task-related supervision to the BD team
Responsible for the client and opportunity data collection and integrity in CRM tool
(e.g. Track and report the status of upcoming opportunities, calculate and track corporate win rates on a regular basis)
Develop new proposals and secure new business. Advises BD team on prospecting and closing new projects. Monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual BD proposals and review with the global team on regular basis
Work closely with RD team and PM team to streamline project execution and completion
Responsible for development and management of annual BD budget
Work with the Global Business Development Team, as well as Operations to ensure consistent messaging and approaches on global projects, proposals, and marketing materials, attend annual marketing events at industry conferences
Qualifications Requirements
Possess a PhD, MS or BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science or related field
Experience at a solid state research or crystallization development , CMC, formulation CRO/CDMO is highly preferred
Ability to work effectively as an individual or a part of a team and to exhibit effective interpersonal, communication and networking skills
Understands clients' needs and proactively develop business needs
Up to 50% travel is required, domestic/international, daily/ overnight

Job Title: Senior Scientist II of Biologics Analytical Development – Mass Spectrometry
The successful candidate will be a leader in the development and management of biologics mass spectrometric, LC-MS and other relevant mass spectrometric methods for the characterization and lot release of biological product candidates. The Senior Scientist will independently develop and qualify analytical mass spectrometry methods to both characterize and lot release of biologics. The Senior Scientist will also effectively manage a small team of Scientists and Research Associates to carry out method development and characterization of biologics, stability assessment, pre-formulation and formulation process development, optimization, and troubleshooting using LC-MS and MS/MS. The candidate must actively assist the biological analytical development group to communicate analytical data across multiple functional areas including analytical and formulation development, project management, and manufacturing.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
Job Requirements: Ph.D. in Chemistry / Biochemistry or in related field with 5-8+ yrs. (or master’s degree in relevant field with 8-12+ yrs.) of relevant experience in analytical method development and structural characterization of biologics using mass spectrometry supporting CMC sections for IND, IMPD/CTA, and BLA submissions
2+ years of demonstrated team leadership of Research Associates / Scientists as well as project management
Essential hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art instrumentation and modern analytical techniques (e.g., mass spectroscopy, peptide mapping, post-translational modification analysis including glycosylation/oligosaccharide characterization, HPLC, UPLC, capillary electrophoresis, fluorescence spectroscopy, circular dichroism, light scattering, process residuals, and Compendial assays)
Extensive experience with characterization of biologics (including process- & product-impurities/degradation product characterization), method development/qualification/validation, and tech transfer supporting early and late-stage development for proteins/peptides, monoclonal antibodies, protein conjugates (e.g., pegylation, etc.), antibody-drug conjugates, vaccines, etc.
Clear understanding of formulation development and stability studies as well as upstream/downstream processing is desired
Familiarity with cGMP-compliance and Quality/Regulatory Affairs, including a clear understanding of phase-appropriate CMC regulatory requirements is preferred
Demonstrated ability to set clear and measurable goals for staff and prioritize tasks and resources to achieve superior work quality and efficiency
Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills, be able to communicate effectively to senior management, cross-functional teams, and collaborators/partners
